Romania is stepping up in the global innovation race, emerging as a key player in cybersecurity, AI, and robotics. Once known mainly for outsourcing, the country is now building one of Europe’s fastest-growing tech ecosystems, home to export-ready solutions and globally minded entrepreneurs.

On 17–18 June 2025, ten Romanian companies will showcase their tech solutions at Nexus Luxembourg 2025. Organised by Romania-Luxembourg Business Forum (RomLux), the Pavilion at Stand P23 will spotlight innovation in AI, EdTech, robotics, and more, positioning Romania as a rising force in Europe’s digital economy and a valuable partner for Luxembourg.

Among the standout exhibitors is AROBS, a tech powerhouse with over 25 years of experience in embedded systems, AI-driven automation, and cloud solutions. With a client base spanning Europe, North America, and Asia, AROBS powers sectors from automotive and MedTech to enterprise software. Equally compelling is New Akord Security, whose integrated cybersecurity platforms offer protection against ransomware, phishing, and real-time digital threats, key concerns across Luxembourg’s financial and public sectors.

Also drawing attention is Hatwit International, a Luxembourg–Bucharest firm specialising in executive search for Europe’s tech-driven industries. With over 600 C-suite mandates completed and a proprietary talent-mapping engine, Hatwit helps start-ups and corporates build strong leadership teams. Meanwhile, Agora Robotics brings advanced automation to physical spaces, showcasing “Sweep”, an autonomous cleaning robot designed for large facilities.

“These companies reflect the diversity and ambition of Romania’s tech scene, one that’s increasingly contributing Europe’s digital transformation, said Razvan Radu, President of RomLux. Global success stories like UiPath, the first Romanian unicorn and a global leader in robotic process automation (RPA), have paved the way for a wave of ambitious start-ups. In cybersecurity, Romania is also home to Bitdefender, a globally recognised provider of threat intelligence and antivirus solutions trusted by governments and enterprises worldwide. Startups like TypingDNA (behavioral biometrics), Finqware (open banking infrastructure), and Humans.ai (AI ethics and blockchain integration) demonstrate that Romanian innovation brings serious contributions to Europe's digital future”, he added.

From Luxembourg, the collaboration is reciprocal. Radu State (SnT, University of Luxembourg), Alexandru Tantar (LIST), and Jonas Mercier (Luxinnovation – Startup Luxembourg) will engage in discussions at the Romanian Pavilion, highlighting open innovation opportunities and R&D funding tools available in the Grand Duchy.

The Romanian Pavilion will also host a pre-event Warm-Up Networking Party on 16 June. To register and to learn more about the companies showcasing their solutions, please follow this link.
